The Knights of Malta held their annual picnic in Reading with a special ten coach train and many attendees despite fewer fez wearers. A Lititz nine defeated Reading Malta 7 to 2 while ample refreshments fed about 1800 quarts of ice cream and 100 pounds of coffee. Six children needed a first aid tent as heat and water drew a crowd to the event.
