Pioneer nut grower John F. Jones dies at 56 in Willow Street
John F. Jones a leading nut grower and government specialist died at his Willow Street home aged 56. He valued for black walnuts without partitions and English walnuts grown to California sizes and share work on shellbark improvement and hazelnut hybrids. He long moved before settling in Lancaster County and formed a noted friendship with Mr. Resh whose own grafting method influenced orchards nationwide. His son perished in an airplane accident.
