L I T I T Z Oil Company Opens Local Station Plan
Representatives of the American Independent Oil Company from Harrisburg sold coal oil directly to farmers in Lititz. They touted triple refined, red colored oil at five cents a gallon with free samples and announced plans for a spring oil station along the railroad, including three 10,000 gallon tanks.

Mrs. Charlotte Bachman, 92, is seriously ill with pneumonia at her daughter’s home east of town. Mrs. Dietrich Bupp suffers a serious pleuro pneumonia attack. Mrs. Moench, wife of Bishop Moench, fell ill on Thanksgiving in Brooklyn and remains critical with gall stones awaiting possible surgery. Mrs. J. C. Rhode traveled to Wills Hospital in Philadelphia for eye treatment. one eye is gone and the other is at risk.

Deer on the Run After Hotel Release Controversy
A deer freed at the Clay hotel on Thanksgiving was later captured near Zartman's mill but vanished from Israel Bomberger's stable after the lock was pulled out. Attorney W A Hensel filed a replevin to recover the $75 animal, and Deputy Sheriff Stump found the deer missing at Bomberger's farm, with locals unsure where the creature roams in the county's northern end.

Narrow escape as buggy wrecked in Lancaster turnpike crash
Mr. and Mrs. Jacob H. Bomberger of Warwick narrowly escaped serious injuries when a touring automobile crashed into their buggy two miles north of Lancaster near Sunnyside on the Lititz and Lancaster turnpike. The buggy was wrecked but the couple suffered only minor bruises while the horse fled but was recovered. The car owner, Graybill Long of Lancaster, was not present.

Miss Gillern Plans Move for Mary Hacker to Sims Home
Mary Hacker, 12, previously in Lititz, will leave her foster home with A. R. Beck after Mrs. E. Kent Sims of Indianola Mississippi, formerly Rose Hess, arranges for her to live with the Sims in Mississippi. The child, noted for brightness, is under care during the transition. Sims is wealthy and runs a fine Mississippi home after her late husband’s passing on July 16.

A Champion Porker Record At Pine Hill Farm
