Deer and fox stories light up Lititz opening day
Elmer Herr of Lititz bagged a 150 pound Michigan deer on opening day after a quick shot at about 11 am. Myers Wins Full Verdict in Fourteen Lancaster Cases
N S Myers of this place received a full verdict in Lancaster court against Frank Lefever over a real estate commission of 269 dollars. The two day trial featured an eight woman jury, the largest ever in the county. Myers, represented by Harnish & Harnish, testified two hours. Lefever was defended by John A. Coyle. Youth Club Jitney Driver Wanted After Robbery and Chase
Richard Meiskey twenty of Lititz is at large after ambushing a jitney driver with a revolver on Monday night near Rothsville. He wounded the driver, stole the car, and fled through Millway and Eph rata, with police tracking him for weeks. Templeton, the injured chauffeur, was found unconscious and later identified the attack. Meiskey faces ten civil charges including eight for forgery and one for larceny.
