Lititz To Save Six Pretzel Bakeries
James Sturgis began building a pretzel bakery at his South Broad street home with a 32 by 86 foot space. He bought machinery from Nazareth’s discontinued pretac bakery and may add soft pretzels and cakes. His father Henry Sturgis was an old time pretzel and cake baker, noting Lititz bakers once sold cakes with pretzels. He has not decided on cake baking.
