Oliver Smith Stricken Blind in Lititz News Publisher
Oliver Smith publisher of the Red Lion News, long resident of Lititz, was stricken blind last week after an evening outing. He gained aid from a neighbor and local doctors, improved with treatment, and was told the optic nerves were unaffected and full recovery was expected from a constitutional disturbance. He remains cheerful and optimistic about regaining his sight.

Large New Iron Ore Bodies Found Near Cornwall Mines
Rumors from Cornwall say Bethlehem Steel, at Cornwall iron mines twelve miles northwest of Lititz, located large ore bodies east and west of the current operation. Wells sunk near the old mines show promising results, with expected activity requiring thousands of workers. The Cornwall project includes a new town by Bethlehem Steel, with fifty homes planned this summer and ongoing road and yard work.
