Inland Steel Corporation informed S W O representatives it would not sign a contract at Indiana Harbor. J H Walsh, Inland Works manager, delivered the ultimatum at a conference with Van Vittner regional S W O C and Nicholas Fontecchio Calumet. The firm will issue a statement on its labor policy to its about 13 000 Indiana Harbor employees and 500 at Chicago Heights.

The junior class hosted the annual Prom for graduating seniors at the Elks' Home last night. Bill Pirtle's Indiana University band provided swing music while spring flowers and balloons brightened the decor. Entertainment included bingo cards string music and a floor show as the seniors prepare for diploma ceremonies tonight at the high school auditorium.
Deputy Sheriff Lem Clark his wife and son Harry traveled through Elkhart Albion and Jackson Michigan over the weekend. In Elkhart they called on Mr and Mrs Russell Abram and in Albion they visited Mr and Mrs Oris Clark. In Jackson they were guests at Robert Clark's home. They returned home Monday night.
