More than 700 fanciers attended the White River Valley Saddle Horse club round-up at the Anderson farm near Linton. Twenty-five horses were shown including entrants from Linton Terre Haute Odon Lyons Elnora and Bloomfield in classes such as Model three gaited harness pony and five gaited. Rockefeller's Body To Be Buried After Memorial Service
The body of John D Rockefeller is to be sent north in a private car tonight for burial. Family members gather at a castle above the Hudson near Tarrytown, N Y, to pay tribute to the patriarch founder. The funeral will be held Wednesday in the great hall before burial in Cleveland.

Rites Held for William P. Lewis in Bloomfield
Funeral services for William Preston Lewis 72 of Bloomfield were conducted at the family home by Dr M A Farwaster of the Methodist church. Burial followed in Walnut Grove cemetery. He died Saturday morning after a three year illness. Survived by his widow seven children and fifteen grandchildren.

Sit-Down Miners Continue Strike At Mine No 4
Wilsonville Indiana May 24. Company and union officials and a five member strikers committee resumed talks to settle a sit-down strike 319 feet underground at Superior Coal Company Mine No 4. No settlement was evident as both sides held firm on prior demands and refused to retreat. The strike began Thursday with miners occupying the shaft.

Mrs. Sarah Starkey Dies After Fall in Linton

Old age measure upheld by high tribunal
Mrs. Clement V. Humphreys, 69, a longtime Linton resident, died Sunday night at Freeman-Greene County Hospital after a week long illness. Born in Salem, she moved from Oakland City to Linton in 1887 and was active in the Methodist church, Eastern Star, Fancy Work Circle and Delphian Society. Surviving are husband, two children, two brothers, three sisters, and a large extended family. Burial in Fairview cemetery.

Rev C A Hofmann delivered the baccalaureate at the local high school auditorium to a capacity crowd honoring 100 graduates. The program featured the high school orchestra and glee club with guest baritone Ward Martindale from Indiana University. Hofmann urged graduates to choose to be World’s Fools by living Christ's teachings as eternal life beckons. Commencement follows Tuesday night at 8 with Dr J Raymond Shutz of Manchester College delivering the address.
