Wreck Near Vinccennes Injures Five Passengers and Clerks
Five passengers all women and two Chicago and Eastern Illinois mail clerks were treated for minor injuries after a freight train collided with the rear of the northbound passenger train No. 8 at Smith's Switch six miles north of Vincennes Indiana. State police to run training school for six counties

Burris announced Indiana state police will conduct a basic police training school in Washington for enforcement officers from Dubois, Pike, Martin, Greene, Knox and Daviess counties starting May 17. Seymour Indiana May 11 two men Gregory Ashcroft 34 and Charles Stewart 30 were killed when a small cabin monoplane hit two houses then crashed into W L Dickerhoff’s private garage.
