House Votes To Send Monetary Bill To Conference
Washington June 28 The House approved sending the monetary bill to conference with the Senate in an administration bid to erase Senate provisions opposed by President Roosevelt. The vote was 216 to 164 after brief debate as Democratic leaders sought to keep members in line. Humphreys Sentenced for Involuntary Manslaughter
Sanford Slim Humphreys began a one to ten year term at Indiana State Prison Michigan City for involuntary manslaughter in the 1988 death of Mrs. Mary Ellis of Jasonville.
