Sullivan Woman 100 Dies After Brief Illness
Mrs. Sarah Caroline Lyons aged 100 widow of Thomas A Lyons died Sunday at her daughter Mrs Minnie Bennett’s home 219 South Court Street Sullivan Ind following a several months illness. Born April 15 in Eaton Ohio she moved with parents to Indiana in 1852 near Dugger. She and her Civil War veteran husband moved to Sullivan in 1891. She was active in the Eastern Star Women’s Relief Corps and Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two sons George W Lyons Indianapolis and Granville M Lyons Montgomery Ala seven grandchildren 12 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
