Kramer 59 a longtime Linton hardware merchant died Saturday at his home 489 First Street Northeast Born April 30 1880 in Greene county he spent his life in Linton with Kramer Hardware Saron Reformed church member he is survived by his widow Lizzie and three brothers Henry John and William Funeral services set for Tuesday at 2 00 pm in the Saron Reformed church with Rev Carl A Hofmann officiating Interment in Cerman cemetery

Miss Jeanne Inman of Vicksburg was taken to her home Sunday. Miss Audrey Fordyce was taken to her home on Dugger Route 1 Sunday.
The Linton Miners defeated the Farnsworth Tigers 7 to 1 at Farnsworth after scoring five runs in the third inning. Pitcher Trinkle limited the Tigers to five hits and one unearned run as new players contributed solidly for Linton. The win sets up a matchup next Sunday with the St. Patrick nine of Terre Haute, a top semi pro club.

Reports circulated that the King asked Roosevelt to stay at Buckingham or Windsor or a late summer visit to Balmoral but officials denied any invitation was extended.
King George and Queen Elizabeth rode aboard their train to Riviere du Loup as thousands of Canadians greeted them with cheering ovations during the final phase of a triumphal tour of Canada and the United States. Fred Mason 54 a Dugger coal miner died at Freeman Greene county hospital after being struck by a car driven by State Game Warden Michael Obermeyer of Bloomfield on state road 54 west of Switz City. A Greene county coroner’s jury cleared Obermeyer of blame. Mason, a Dugger resident, was injured when his eastbound car skidded, turned and landed in a ditch. He died shortly before midnight after being taken to a hospital in Linton. He leaves a son and four daughters and was survived by siblings and his wife, who died in 1937. Funeral services are set for 3:00 PM Tuesday at Aikin Funeral chapel in Dugger.
Funeral services for Herman Klusmeier aged 67, former Linton resident and uncle of Jack Klusmeier of this city, were held in Terre Haute with burial at Roselawn Memorial Park. He died Friday at his Terre Haute home after leaving Linton about 20 years ago. Surviving are wife Helen four children Arthur of Hammond Lochinvar of Terre Haute two sisters Mrs William Dunn Columbus Ohio and Mrs William Sexton Cleveland and brother Melva of Idaho.
A general meeting of the Lin ton Union Trades Council will be held at 7 30 this evening in City Hall. The announcement says business of importance will be considered and all members are urged to attend.
