Miss Harriet Scantland of Wor thington was dismissed this morning. Frank Roberts of Jasonville underwent an appendectomy this morning. His condition is satisfactory. Mrs Okie Ladson was admitted this morning for treatment. Esther Beadle of Jasonville underwent a minor operation Friday afternoon. Mrs Sarah Everheart, ill for two weeks, is reported to be improving.
Two hundred fifty people are expected next Thursday at Sandborn for the Lions club charter night in the high school auditorium. J. F. Flint will present the charter. R. R. Singer will speak in acceptance. Dr. A. A. Spear will give the principal address. the program includes songs, an invocation, a banquet, and a dance with Bedwell's orchestra.
Frank Courtney American Legion Post hosts an open house tonight inviting all ex service men. Commander Shorty Willis Pirtle urges attendees to bring a comrade and notes there will be plenty of cats at the event.
Mrs David Shields and her dramatic pupils of Linton will present the eight act comedy Where's Grandma at the Switz City high school gym Tuesday night June 15 at 8 o'clock under Greene County 4 H club auspices. The performance features Mrs Shields and a cast including Virginia Wilson Helen McGriffin Norma Jean Smith Robert Good Maurice Hayes Bernadene Hill Irene Canady and Hugh Freeland. Proceeds go to the county 4 H club treasurer to fund working materials for the growing membership.
The Jasonville horseshoe team will face the strong Bicknell crew at Jasonville City Park Sunday afternoon. The Jasonville squad, coming off a win over Linton eight, is expected to lead the league this summer with pitchers including O Harris C Meredith Harvey A Foster B Edmondson E McGarvey L Tennis and S Harlin.

More than 3 750 recipients across 38 colleges earned an average of 15 dollars monthly, with about 45 000 dollars spent monthly statewide. Emergency funding of 2300 dollars monthly supported flood relief projects for four months.

Boy Scouts from Greene county converge on Linton Camp for an overnight outing and Flag Day rally. Troops from Worthington Bloomfield Jasonville Lyons and Linton participate. The two day program began at noon with scouts cooking meals from packed rations and planning breakfast. A campfire court of honor is scheduled tonight.
