The Kappa Chapter of Tri Kappa met Wednesday evening at the public library for its regular monthly business session. Ms William Sahm directed the session and a county project update was given. Indiana aircraft tour to visit Indiana cities
A nine year annual air tour organized by the Indiana Aircraft Trades association will visit about 20 Indiana cities from June 14 to June 19. Some 50 airplanes carrying around 150 people will fly more than 1,500 miles ending in Muncie. Officials will present a trophy to a skilled amateur pilot.

Mat Flynn Buried at Walnut Grove Church
Friends and relatives gathered to honor Mat Flynn former Greene County sheriff. Funeral services were held at Walnut Grove church near Bloomfield and burial followed in the adjacent cemetery. Flynn died at 12 50 pm Monday after a three week illness at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Sullivan Judge Sentences Bailey in Second Degree Burglary
Douglas Bailey 24 of Sullivan received two to five years in the State Reformatory and a $50 fine after pleading guilty to second degree burglary in Sullivan County Court. Arthur McCammon 26, arrested in the Graysville robbery, pleaded not guilty with trial set for June 15. The heist at Ruth Turman’s Graysville store, also Graysville post office, robbed about $100 in merchandise including a clarinet and various items.

4-H Club Benefit Delights Greene County at Switz City
About five hundred people enjoyed a 4-H club program in Switz City gymnasium. The Goosepond Rangers of Linton impressed with sugar bucket drum and jug. The Hunter trio of Worthington and Bobby Allen drew praise for singing and acrobatics. Bloomfield contributed Melody Maids, and other acts included Lyons male quartet, Scotland's Hickory Nut trio, Hoosier Ramblers, Park guitar, and Oklahoma Cowboys of Linton. The Switz City Ladies sextette and band closed the program.

Guy Moss, delegate for the Linton Eagles lodge, returned from the annual convention in Connersville. Governor M Clifford Townsend gave a keynote speech Tuesday night after being initiated into the lodge two weeks earlier. Mayor William Dentlinger welcomed delegates, and Frank E Hering of South Bend spoke at the opening. Loring Niles of Newcastle and Raymond S Springer, a two time Indiana governor candidate, also participated.
