Police seek thieves after a large hog owned by Lee Combs and processed into sausage was stolen from the Combs home in Linton. Five gallons of lard and a basket of meat destined for rendering were also taken from two adjoining rooms while the family slept.

Michigan City authorities proposed a murder and death by own action theory in the deaths of C Rae Hansen 46 and Mrs Hansen 52 found burned in their two room apartment. Fire Chief Otto Krueger said Hansen reportedly spoke of life being unbearable and suggested a large amount of gunpowder was placed in the stove causing an explosion before the fire started. Damages were about 600 dollars.
Rex Bush a 19 year old from MEN Stone Indiana acted guilty to charges of slaying Clyde town marshal and was held without bond to the grand jury in Fremont Ohio.
Acting Secretary of State Sumner Welles announced new U S representations to Germany regarding antisemitic decrees. The United States seeks exemption for American nationals and property from a rule forcing Jews to abandon the retail business field by December 5.
