The Linton Eagles defeated Mitchell 21 to something in a Sunday game as Tate started, Woolsey and Holder held the opponent to two hits, Herndon and Duviver leading Linton with three hits. Grandmother and daughter held for two murders
In Bowling Green Kentucky a 72 year old grandmother and her daughter were jailed on murder charges after strychnine poisoned buttermilk killed Allie Lee 42 and neighbor James Croslin 52 at a family dinner. Prosecutor William H. Natcher said long standing feud sparked the killings.

Bloomfield Boy Injured in Auto Crash Sunday
Stephen Graf a 5 year old Bloomfield resident was critically injured when struck by a car driven by 17 year old Billy Maddox. The incident occurred on West Spring Street as the child darted toward a neighbor's home. He suffered a fractured skull and severe injuries. major surgery was performed and he is reported to be improving. Maddox was not held responsible.

Police were called to the Francis Haffley home on Seventh Street Southeast to settle a daytime argument that escalated to a disturbance. Haffley and Hoyt Stropes paid fines of one dollar and eleven dollars in costs each after appearing before Justice of the Peace WL Jackson. Windows were broken at the Haffley residence. State officer Ollie Hayek reported the arrest of Paul W. Kramer for speeding and he paid one dollar and eleven dollars in costs. The arrest occurred Saturday afternoon.
