Bluffton College announces a total of 608 students for the first semester of 1965-66, a two percent rise from last year. Fuller time students number 591 with 17 part time. data processing caused some shifts from full to part time. Freshmen 204, sophomores 146, juniors 119, seniors 120, with men slightly ahead of women in all classes.

Defiance College will begin a leadership program for union leaders and members on October 21. Carl Easley and Doris Ayres lead the effort for the Northwest Labor Education Center. Courses include Union Leadership, Collective Bargaining, and Labor Law. Classes meet Thursdays 7:15 to 9:30 p m for 24 weeks. Sponsored by the Labor Education and Research Service and OSU College of Commerce and Administration.
ONU marks its 1965 homecoming weekend with the inauguration of Dr. Samuel Lewis Meyer as seventh president. Activities include flagpole rush, bonfire, pep rally, free movie, pushmobile race, homecoming choir, barbecue, ONU vs Findlay game, queen crowning, alumni honors, and a Thurber Carnival, concert, and ball across campus.
Bluffton College seniors engage in field work in area churches for the year. James Arn assists First Mennonite Church Eureka area in Lima teaching a class with Ronald Hunsicker. Bontrager, Clarke, Gribler, and Hixon join various churches under church education plans.
