Bresler Rejects Bid In Water Plant Project
Utilities Director Sharon Bresler announced bids for the water treatment plant distribution service building. Division I for general construction was rejected as the low bid proved too high by about 16 percent versus the previous proposal a year earlier. Over $13,000 in work has already been completed. Division II for plumbing and heating went to H. R. Tilton and Sons for 62.10, and Division II for electrical work went to Spartan Electric for 41,000. The program will be reevaluated and new bids considered after alterations are completed.
