Walter W. Wood of Re 2 Columbus Grove died at 7 p.m. Sunday after a brief illness. Born December 29, 1883 in Rimer, he married Ella Syfert in 1905 and she survives. He leaves two daughters Beulah Harland of Decatur and Tressie Moury of Marion, three sons Charles and Ewing of Rimer and Dale of Alger, 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. A member of Ottawa River United Church of Christ, his funeral is set for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church with Rev. Omer Erickson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with the body at Harris Funeral Home after 7 tonight and until 1 p.m. Wednesday when it will be moved to the church.
