Francis Siefer dies at 59 in Lima hospital
Francis Siefer of Rt. 1 Ottawa died at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Lima St. Rita's Hospital after a three month illness. He was 59, born Sept. 17, 1906 in Ottawa, worked at Sylvania Electric, and is survived by his wife Josephine Ricker, a daughter Juanita, two sons Eugene and Thomas, two sisters, one brother, and 11 grandchildren. He was a member of Ottawa Fire Department and local Catholic fraternal groups. Requiem Mass set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St Anthony's Church, burial in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Friends may call at McCrate Funeral Home.

Elbert Hargesheimer aged 79 of Rt. 3 Van Wert died at 1 15 pm Wednesday at Van Wert County Hospital after an extended illness. A retired farmer he was born January 3 1887 in Indiana a son of Phillip and Alice Hargesheimer. He married Stella Hansel in 1911 and is survived by two sons Charles Rt 3 and Elbert of Hamburg NY two daughters Mrs Alice Bailey 1217 North Wald and Mrs Marilee Conner of Safford AZ one sister Mrs Alta Mousa Lakeview 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He belonged to North Union Methodist Church Union Grange Farm Bureau Union Board of Education and was a Union Township Trustee. Services are at 2 pm Friday at Alspach Funeral Home with Rev John Grandstaff officiating burial in Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Fund.
