Maritime unions mull boycott of ships trading with North Viet Nam
In Miami Beach today the AFL CIO Maritime Trades Department and the ILA consider boycotting foreign ships docked at U S ports that trade with North Viet Nam. The move could bar hundreds of vessels from Britain France Norway Italy Greece and others from U S ports and would seek broader action against any nation sending ships to North Viet Nam ports. President Gleason may seek unanimous support from 28 unions and push to extend the ban to all ships from such nations.
