Wreck of Tennesse steamer. photographer recalls scene

Coffin, an enterprising photographer, reached the wreck area Saturday afternoon and stayed until Sunday afternoon. He aided the crew in unloading cargo and captured about 20 views. The boat Struck A reportedly sank about two feet below water near the Kansas City area where the White Blue joins the Big Muddy at Sibley. The vessel is likely a total loss. little cargo will be saved despite efforts. Family visits follow as neighbors travel to see relatives and friends.
