Despite bad weather the Corn Show and Farmers Institute at the court house Monday drew farmers and enthusiasts. Corn contest entries were fewer than hoped, but exhibts of cereals and grasses gathered by Charles Teubner drew admiration under the county World’s Fair committee. Prize winners included Best 20 ears white corn first prize J Q Moore Lexington and Best 20 ears yellow corn first prize T R Page Higginsville.
