Fourth District Convention To Be Held In Lexington
The Fourth District Christian Endeavor Societies will hold a convention here on June 12 13 and 14 bringing about two hundred delegates from Benton Camden Cooper Henry Howard Johnson Lafayette Moniteau Morgan Pettis and Saline counties. Local hosts promise generous home hospitality to visitors for this significant event. Mrs Laura O Chapman widow of Moses Chapman former cashier at Lexington Savings Bank died at 3 am in Kansas City following heart trouble. Funeral at First Baptist Church this afternoon with burial at Machpelah. Miss Gilkesons closing dance featured Peggy Witgfield of Kansas City performing The Water Lily Dixie and The Secret. The solo dance showcased refined movement and earned sustained applause.

Mrs. E J Earl died Friday at 1 30 PM in the German hospital Kansas City after an operation begun Wednesday morning at 8 30. She was formerly Bessie Marshall of this county and is survived by her husband, one son, her ill mother Mrs Minerva Marshall, three brothers F D Marshall John Marshall and Chas Marshall, and three sisters Mrs James Catron Mrs W A Estabrook and Miss Fannie Marshall. The body was brought to Lexington and buried from the train Monday.

Death of Mrs Hanora Howard Widow of Timothy Howard
Mrs Hanora Howard aged 85 died Monday at 3 pm at her son Peter Howard’s home near Myrick after old age and debility. Born in Ireland she came to the United States at 14, first in Maysville Kentucky, later marrying Timothy Howard. They moved to Lexington 58 years ago and lived there since. She is survived by two sons John and Peter of Lexington and six daughters including Mia Lizzie Sheldon Sarah Dumaw Shinn Rosewall Latchaw Laure Mooney of Richmond, with services conducted by Rev George B Curry at the Catholic church on Wednesday at 9 am.

Death of Ernest F. Schramm, Lexington farmer
Ernest F. Schramm a farmer living nine miles south of Lexington shot himself last Monday during a period of despondency from ill health and died today at noon. Born in Saxony Germany August 5 1842 he came to America in 1870 and to Lexington seven years later. He worked at Winkler Furniture for ten years before moving to a farm where he lived. Survived by six children. Funeral service with Rev J C Bierbaum will be held at the home this morning at 10 o clock.
