Death of Mrs Elizabeth Bayliss in New York
Information reached here of the death of Mrs Ellizabeth Bayliss in New York on June 13 from a complication of diseases. Formerly lived here and widow of Tom Baylies who for years managed the old City hotel. Survived by four daughters Fannie Elizabeth Blanche and Daley and one son Samuel. Her other son John died about six weeks ago.

Mrs G A Frerking died Wednesday at her home after chronic liver trouble. She sought hospital care in Kansas City but did not improve and returned home. She was a member of a prominent county family. Band Concert on Courthouse Porch Delights Large Crowd
Bell's band delivered an excellent concert on the courthouse porch Thursday night before a large audience. Nine pieces were played with evident improvement this winter. The program included marches, overtures, serenades, and intermezzos. They plan to perform at the Odessa picnic next Saturday. Several local residents attended the State Haworth League convention in Sweet Springs, while others returned from Kansas City after a short visit.
