Central College for Women marks forty ninth anniversary events
The Central College for Women weeklong celebration included the baccalaureate sermon by Dr. Frank Barrett of Oklahoma City, class day activities, and a grand concert by the seniors. The week crowned with an associate in arts degree for fifteen, delivered by Dr. A. L. Seales, and a wedding of Miss Nardine Keith to Dr. John Aull observed amid campus festivities.

Deputy Sheriff Arrests Man For No License In Boonville
Deputy Sheriff John McDonald arrested Eugene McCalhan of Boonville yesterday afternoon for driving a car without a license. He was brought before Justice of the Peace T A Walker who fined him 25 dollars plus costs totaling 36.16 dollars.

Doctors Take Stock in Lafayette County Meeting
Tuesday the Doctors of Lafayette county met in Lexington and were registered and classified. the report was sent to the Medical Department of the Army. The government has issued a call for physicians and Lafayette's quota is nine. There are thirty six in the county.

Mrs Lederek Injured in Singly Manner on Road to Lexington
Mrs. Frank Lederek of Well Wigton was injured Saturday while en route to Lexington with a wagon load of produce. She fainted near Myrick, fell, was dragged about 100 yards, and suffered a broken leg below the knee plus other injuries. She was taken to 1030 Highland Avenue for care.
