Lexington Public Schools Close Class of 1917 Honors
Public schools closed with commencement activities for the Class of 1917 at Lexington. Rev R N Allen delivered the opening sermon at the Methodist church, Alumni Association hosted a reception with Bishop Partridge as speaker, then graduation exercises at the Christian church featured diplomas, honors and scholarship awards for Elizabeth Ashurst and John Cross. A burglary at Thompson's pool hall yielded about $10 cash and games equipment. bloodhounds failed to trace suspects. Frances Marian Hale, daughter of Frank M Hale, died at home in Lexington aged, funeral in Lexington.
