Jefferson City May 21 1917 The Sheriff of Lafayette County Lexington Missouri under a presidential proclamation dated May 18 requires all males ages 21 to 30 to register on June 5 1917 between 7 am and 9 pm. The Sheriff County Clerk and County Physician are the County Registration Board. The Sheriff will appoint Registrars for each voting precinct and arrange rooms. Registrars will be appointed at a rate of one per eighty names based on ten percent of the population. Counties must report by May 24 that registrars are appointed and locations prepared to handle the June 5 registration.
