Word has reached Lexington of the death of Dr Lewis Green Barbour at his son’s home in Louisville Kentucky on Wednesday He was 78 and long active in Lexington as head of Elizabeth Aull Seminary and later a mathematics professor at Central University in Danville He leaves two sons Dr Phil Barbour of Louisville and Dr James Barbour of Baltimore and two daughters Mrs Bessie and Caroline He was buried in Danville

Mrs M Morris died Tuesday at 7:45 PM at her Main Street home after months of failing health. Born October 15, 1830 near Baltimore Maryland, she was 76. Survived by siblings Nannie Bell Sylvira Baker Sue Frampt John Mathews and eight children including Lula Burch Bell McGillery J W Morris C A Morris S E Brown and C L Morris. Funeral held at her son’s Hebron Nebraska home and body sent Tuesday evening.

Government to Perfect Title of Federal Building Site
Wilson Broad has received word from Washington that proceedings will be started to perfect title to the corner property at 13th and Malo streets chosen for a federal building. A minor flaw was found in the title during abstracting. once corrected, the government will take over. No appropriation exists yet, but the site may host the building in due course.
