The Twenty third Missouri District Masonic Association met in Lexington at Lodge No 149 with degrees conferred by Aullville and Waverly Lodges and a supper at Turner's Hall. Dr Charles A Weed spoke as Grand Chaplin. Out of town guests listed, and local election notices announced for Hon N M Houx as judge. Mrs C H Harrison returned home after visiting in Warrensburg with the Palmers.

Monday afternoon about four o'clock Corrine Deane, a colored woman, stabbed Lizzie Bolton, also colored, in the back with a butcher knife. Deane was arrested and brought before Justice Clyde Wright who fixed bail at $400. Unable to furnish bond she remained in jail to await Thursday, February 24.

Mr M H Shorter of Sedalia married Miss Mary Ross on Saturday afternoon at the Christian parsonage by Rev Richard W Wallace. They departed on the Saturday evening train for Sedalia to establish residence. Shorter formerly worked for an insurance company here and is well known in the community.

Death of Victor Nystrom reported in Perryville Texas
Victor Nystrom 30 unmarried secretary of the Bogies Lodge died in a sanitarium at Perryville Texas. He lived near the Summit Mine and went to Texas about a month ago for health reasons. The body was transported to Lexington for burial.

Death of William Moore in German Hospital Kansas City
William Moore a longtime citizen died during throat cancer operation at the German Hospital in Kansas City near noon Saturday. Born December 16 1849 in Lexington Kentucky he came to Missouri as a youth and settled in this city. He married Lena Bauerle in 1869 and is survived by his widow four children and two brothers. Funeral held Monday at 2:30 PM at the Episcopal church.
