Gustave Haerle killed in Lexington streetcar wreck
Gustav Haerle a leading Lexington citizen and owner of the Lexington Water Works was killed in a street car collision on the Twelfth street viaduct in Kansas City shortly after noon. A woman also died and many were injured. Haerle, born in Boonville Missouri in 1858, had lived in Lexington since childhood and leaves a wife and daughter Fannie. Mrs. A W Conway died Sunday at 6 30 am at her daughter Arch Smith 506 Twentieth St from pneumonia after influenza. Born February 1 1850 in Rush County Indiana she married August 12 1868 and recently celebrated their fiftieth anniversary. She is survived by her husband and eleven children including Mrs James Goodwin Mrs Emma Tuck Frank Conway Mrs Ed Thompson Mrs Ed Robinson Ardy Smith Mia William Snell and William Conway.
