Federal Farm Help Leader Appointed In Lexington

Miss Rose Pearson, a Central College student, died Tuesday afternoon at 3 o clock in the college infirmary after a brief illness of pneumonia following an appendicitis operation. She was the daughter of J L Pearson of Pawhuska Oklahoma and sister to Mrs Kent of St. Joseph Missouri and Joe. Funeral services were held at 7:45 Wednesday morning conducted by Dr Z M Williams with Rev J E Alexander and Rev Baxter Waters. interment followed at the train.

The trial of William Scott, colored, for the murder of William Brown ended Saturday with a not guilty verdict.
