High School Team Defeats University in Exhibition Football
A 500 crowd watched a season opening football game at L A A C Park as Lewiston High School tied the University seconds in a hard fought contest. Moscow visitors, led by Gains and Leonard, pressed early but the hosts held, and the game ended scoreless after a two minute skirmish near the goal line. Lapointe and Pierstoff stood out for the high school while McMinimy and Small aided the visitors, and Chap man subbed after an ankle sprain. The match showcased strong line play and defensive grit on both sides.

District Court Opens Fall Term With Motions and Arrest Warrant
Judge Steele opened the fall term as attorneys argued motions. A bench warrant was issued for W Wyland after Sheriff Schuldt reported his custody in Jacksonville Oregon. Thiessen Ships 10000 Yearling Sheep to Minneapolis
J D C Thiessen dispatched 10,000 head of yearling sheep to Minneapolis Minnesota this morning. Six double deck cars left Kendrick and six more were added to the special train. Harry Dowd led the train while Henry Thiesen will tend the animals on arrival.
