State Land Board Inspects Cedar Valley for New Wells

Officials from the State Land Board led by Seely and Callie fer inspected Cedar Valley to locate a site for a culinary well. The chosen site lies about 1 mil from Parley Tell to Greely Springs near the valley center. A second site was examined near Cedar Fort and the valley north end, with a third well planned in Millard County. The board also plans visits to Nephi and Dog Valley, and expects Cedar Valley to become a major Utah grain producer in coming years.

Pelican Point firm repairs barge with new engine

Pelican Point Development Co executives Parks and Judge Daxenberry from Provo toured the Point and Saratoga Springs. They bought a Sugar Co barge boat, will repair and repaint it, install a 32 horsepower gas engine, and consider a second engine. Dusenberry outlines plans to develop rich deposits including iron, quartz, marble, native coal, lime and clays, expecting significant development next year.

Funds for Experimental Station Deficit Relief
