Robert Elliott Killed at G N Log Dump Accident
Robert Elliott a twenty six year old brake man on the Great Northern Lumber Co logging train was instantaneously killed while unloading logs at the log dump near the mill. A chain hook slipped as he worked under his brother in law Harry Ness conductor of the train and logs rolled over him. He leaves a wife a young daughter and his parents from Sanborn North Dakota. His body was prepared by Leavenworth Undertaking Co and taken home for burial. Elliott belonged to the Masonic and Modern Woodmen lodges.
