The Spokane Merchant Association's special train arrived early Wednesday, touring Leavenworth with about seventy five leading Spokane manufacturers and jobbers. Led by General Superintendent Elliott and District Freight Agent Merrit, the party was chaperoned by Bob Glen of the Spokesman-Review and toured in a dining car, sleepers, baggage car, Elliott's car, and day coaches. The visit drew positive remarks from locals and Echo hopes for a return in the future.
