Tragic Night Fall Near Peshastin Tracks
A 19 year old Seattle man Robert R W Wilson was killed instantly when he stumbled toward a westbound Great Northern train near the east crossing at Peshastin. Wilson and two Seattle companions, Martin Weinrick and George Dawson, slept beside the tracks with little money after hoping for work picking apples. The trio reported no signs of foul play and an inquest was deemed unnecessary. Wilson's body was shipped to Seattle for funeral arrangements as family details emerged.

Ten Die in Oregon Hotel Fire in Klamath Falls
In Klamath Falls Oregon a major hotel fire killed ten people and left four missing as flames engulfed the Houston hotel and adjacent buildings. Rescue labor and relief efforts were mounted with the Red Cross using the Main street court house to shelter refugees and organized labor pledging funds.

Radford N Craghead was found guilty by Justice Port er of tampering with a headgate of the Wenatchee Reclamation District and fined 100 dollars plus costs. He denied knowledge of how the headgate was twisted open and enlarged to release more water than he was entitled to. Craghead appealed the justice court decision.
