Old Settlers Reunion Highlights Leavenworth Event
The Leavenworth Old Settlers' reunion drew 1000 plus as G W Sampson umpired a seven inning tie for eight runs. Prizes included a $20 suit won by F S Taylor and a dress by the Leavenworth Mercantile Co won by Mrs George Briskey. Women voters were barred from prize voting causing protest, and speeches followed by bids for cigars and other honors. Notables include A E Dickinson aged 74 and Mrs Ella Seipp visiting from Tacoma.
