The Chelan county jail reported five more inmates remained behind as four IWW members escaped through a wall opening after disabling a cage door. Authorities issued bulletins with detailed descriptions of Edward Mara Leo Ostrom Edward Calgin Tom McCoy and Ralph Pierce and urged arrests.
Chelan county officials set an $800 reward for the arrest of four convicts who escaped from the Chelan county jail on Sunday. Individual rewards include $250 for FE J Mara and Leo Ostrom and $150 for Ed Calgin and Tom McCoy. Sheriff McManus returned with no clear information on the escapees or their direction.
Local sportsmen report a booming Hungarian partridge population and many China pheasants in Chelan County. Walter W. Kastner manager of the Liberty theater in Wenatchee was fatally injured Tuesday afternoon when struck by an automobile driven by Mrs. Harry E. Baker. He died two hours later at General Hospital. Seattle lawyer Wm. Green, who was with Kastner, was slightly injured.

A Cashmere couple marked fifty years of marriage with a family filled celebration at Mrs Paton’s home Tuesday evening. Rev Ernest L McCartney officiated as they renewed vows beneath daffodils and narcissus while granddaughter Frances Paine and Gertrude Eaton served as flower and ring girls.
In NuRango Colorado a white mule was used by a moonshine dealer as a misdirection. A sign outside the owner's home read White Mule for Sale. Prospective buyers proving themselves “all right” were shown liquor with a real kick while strangers saw an aggressive mule.

Scheffer of Puyallup will demonstrate extermination of mice and gophers. Frank Wingate of Peshastin leads the Farm Bureau rodent control project and will supervise the event.
Superior Judge Clay Allen confirmed the organization of the Peshastin irrigation district and a $100,000 bond issue, denying demurrers by S. P. Beecher and J. Querbach. The court's ruling allows bond sales to finance canal and joint irrigation work with Tekle districts, amid water shortages and rapid construction plans.
A local merchant answers a wholesale dunning letter with a long complaint about taxes and civic obligations draining his funds. He lists Federal War Tax, Excess Profits, Liberty Bonds, and numerous charities and organizations as exhausting his finances. The letter laments government regulation and social demands leaving him unable to send the requested payment.
A. C. Barclay has a crew digging for a new hotel addition but poor weather slows progress. He expects a splendid basement beneath the new section.
