Elks Will Be Warm Come Winter

Le Mars Elks Club official Harry Kramer says the building receives a terra cotta colored stucco coating on the lower part to block winter drafts through brick cracks. Contractor Francis Sutton handles the job. Some patches on the upper section will be brushed but not coated. South and east sides already have stucco to the roof.

Lake Tolsma arrived in Lincoln Nebraska this week to enroll at the University of Nebraska. Jake Tolsma a former Le Mars High School standout won a full scholarship and was chosen prep of the week during his senior year. He played guard on the first all state football team and worked summers at Wittgen Ready mix. Minnesota Firm Is Low Bidder for Storm Sewer Project

Larson Brothers of Dawson Minnesota has the low bid of 42078.50 for a storm sewer project along the east edge of the Mess addition in Le Mars with discharge into Goose Creek.
