Contractor Francis Sutton handles the job. Some patches on the upper section will be brushed but not coated. South and east sides already have stucco to the roof.

Lake Tolsma arrived in Lincoln Nebraska this week to enroll at the University of Nebraska. Jake Tolsma a former Le Mars High School standout won a full scholarship and was chosen prep of the week during his senior year. He played guard on the first all state football team and worked summers at Wittgen Ready mix. He is active in the Presbyterian church with Mr and Mrs Edgar Tolsma members of First Presbyterian Church.
Larson Brothers of Dawson Minnesota has the low bid of 42078.50 for a storm sewer project along the east edge of the Mess addition in Le Mars with discharge into Goose Creek. Six bidders competed, Siouk City Engineering submitted the highest bid. Work slated to start by Sept 21 and finish by November.
Revival services at the Free Methodist Church run September 5 to 27 with Rev. R. L. Lineback of Joytin Missouri preaching each evening at 7 30 except Saturdays.
Pottebaum Miss Clarice Pottebaum daughter of Mr and Mrs Martin Pottebaum of Sioux City and Monty James Kurth son of Mr and Mrs Wilbur Kurth of Le Mars were married September 7 1959 at St Josephs church Neptune Rev A W Behrens officiated the double ring ceremony at 9 am The couple will reside on a farm southeast of Le Mars The bride works at the Le Mars Credit Bureau.
Miss Dorothy Ellen Parsley and Harry Solomon both of North Sioux City South Dakota were married in Le Mars on September 3 1959 by Rev E L Belk with attendants Mrs James Parcell and Lola Solomon.
Residents heard an air force jet bomber fly very low over Le Mars during supper, creating a terrifying roar. Officials say bombers aim for a minimum safe altitude, but the first craft was followed by three others flying slightly higher, though not 10 000 feet high, sparking fears of a crash.

Phyllis Kloster of Le Mars will wed Reverend George E Krumrey of Hampton Iowa in an approaching marriage announced by her parents Mr and Mrs Nick Kloster. Miss Kloster a Westmar College graduate has served as parish worker at Trinity Lutheran Albert Minnesota. Krumrey son of Mrs William E Krumrey and the late Mr Krumrey is pastor at St Pauls Lutheran Hampton. The couple plans an October wedding.
Attendees at the funeral included out of town friends and relatives from Minnesota Wisconsin and Iowa. Funeral services for infant Josey Pettebaum, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Pettebaum, were held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Mary area. Born Sept 7 at Sacred Heart Hospital, burial followed at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Survivors include both sets of grandparents from Mars and Attion towns.
A bridal shower for Miss Cynthia Scheffen tow was held Sunday afternoon August 30 at Beaches Hall Le Mars with 68 guests. Tables featured garden flowers and white wedding bells in bridal colors. Sisters of the couple served as hostesses.
The Plymouth Camary Chapter of the American Cancer Society will hold its Annual Meeting on September 14 in the private dining room of the new Student Union on Westmar campus. The public is invited to vote and hear reports of the year’s activities. Chapter officers will be elected and board members installed. Mrs. June Ames from Cherokee, the field representative, will be present.

Survived by son Borle Mielse and daughter Christa Larson of Short Hills New Jersey staying with parents in Dermath, plus other children to Denmark. Also notified of the death of nephew William Larson 42 of Shorthill New Jersey who died suddenly in his sleep on the same day.
