Three Injured In Sunday Car Collision At Perkins Corner
Three persons were injured Sunday afternoon near Perkins Corner after a collision between a 1948 Dodge driven by Peter Rel of Rock Valley and a 1938 Kanser driven by Herman Vant Haul. The Rel family and the Vant Haul family, including children, were in the two vehicles. Mrs Rel suffered a fractured grim and bruises, Gert Vant Haul was hospitalized with a broken leg and head injuries, and Audrey Vant Haul, five, had cuts and broken teeth. Both cars were damaged beyond repair. Patrolman Dunn reported the accident occurred about 1:30 p.m. on Highway 75 and Highway 18.

Open House Draws 1500 to New I P S Warehouse
More than 1,500 visitors toured the new I P S warehouse in Le Mars on opening day, Friday, as questions and interest ran high. A large group photo was taken for Thursday's Globe-Post. Some construction workers were absent due to emergency duties. The Iowa Social Welfare Department released September 1953 figures for Plymouth County with 200 old age assistances, 61 needy blind, and 76 dependent children aid cases totaling $2,960.50.
