Police Court fines for state cases hit two Omaha men
Gerald Johnson and James Litzmann paid $20 each on hunting without a license. In mayor's court Marvin Smith of Sibley paid $7.50 for improper passing and George Massicotte of Sudbury Ontario Canada paid $10 for failing to stop at a stop sign. A newly married 73 year old bridegroom was involved in a two car crash at the intersection of highways 5 and 75 when his car failed to stop and struck a car driven by Marvin J. Langel of Le Mars.

A cattle shed fire on Walter Eyres farm six miles south and four miles east of Le Mars destroyed six calves weighing about 300 pounds. Loss estimated at $1,000. Eyres insured.
