An 8 week old Alton Iown infant died after a two car crash at Highway 33 and a county blacktop road. John Albert Hansen, 41, of Alton, died later at Orange City hospital from a skull fracture. Parents and four other people were injured. Ralph Mullen, 65, of Omaha, suffered a back injury. Authorities cited cross traffic when Mullen crossed Highway 33. Highway Patrol and sheriff deputies investigated.

Isaac Goin Funeral Service Held for 79
Funeral services for Isaac Goin aged 79 were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Ireton with Rev. Paul Freidtichy officiating. Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery followed under Satterlee funeral home guidance. A World War I veteran, he died Sunday at Ear Veterans hospital. He was born September 18 1878 in Missouri and had lived in Le Mars before joining the Ireton community. Surviving is a niece in Idaho Falls Idaho.
