Keating, Bere Rick, and Glen Ashcraft were thrown from the car, with Keating and Rick injured and Ashcraft treated at the airbase hospital. A power line pole near the crash sustained damage from flying debris, and wreckers removed car parts along the highway.

Bond Chain Letters Illegal Warned By BBB

Rogerts, secretary of the Le Mats chamber of commerce, received a postoffice department letter to the Better Business Bureau in Des Moines stating that bond scam chain letters are illegal even when selling government bonds. Prosecutions have begun in Chicago as the scheme spread to Hawarden and Akron. The scam pays recipients by selling more bonds, with rewards of buckets of horse? boots and four buckets possible. The BBB warns against “fall guys” who target elderly or vulnerable people, including itinerant tree trimmers and various door salemen, to sign up for dubious deals. After Two Accidents a Granville Youth Hospitalized
George Hunt a 21 year old from Granville Iowa remained in Sacred Heart hospital Monday after two separate crashes Friday. In the second wreck on Highway 10 west of Paullina his car rammed a semi trailer truck, the top sheared off and he was thrown to the pavement. The truck driver was unhurt and both cars were total losses. Earlier that morning on Highway 33 near Le Mars Hunt dazed off and left the road causing minor front end damage with no injuries.

Truck Crash Damages Diesel Hauler in Kansas
Phil Groethen returned from Wellington Kansas with two drivers Virgil Miller and Pierce De Young after a Wednesday afternoon accident.
