Street collision near Elks club injures two drivers
A two car crash occurred at 10 p.m. Wednesday on Central Avenue just north of 2nd Street South in Le Mars near the Elks club. Marjorie Treinen's 1947 Chrysler was sideswiped by Lester Rollins, causing Rollins’ car to roll to a residence on Central Ave. Estimates put damage at 200 to the Treinen car and 300 to Rollins’. Rollins, 31, jailed overnight. no charges filed yet as county authorities review the case.

Mrs Anna Kloster of Le Mars reports a serious accident involving her seven year old grandson Ronald Kloster who lives with Mr and Mrs Jens Kloster in Seattle Washington. Ronald was in the basement with his mother when she left to use a dryer the boy’s arm was caught in the wringer and he was taken to a hospital where no bones were broken but feeling was lost in the arm. After eight days there clinicians began skin grafting and the sensation gradually returned.
