Members of St. Joseph's parish Le Mars prepare for the 30th year jubilee of Rt Rev. M J. Fisch with interior redecorations, an organ reconditioning, and a May 27 banquet at Gehlen school attended by about 800 including visiting clergy and parishioners.

Work Nights At Recreation Park Planned

Milo Manning, president of the local Wank Walton league, announced two work evenings at the recreation grounds near Le Mars. On Tuesday at 7 p.m. volunteers will clean the grounds one mile south of Le Mars on highway 75 and seven tenths mile west at the former Anderson Aggregates sand pit. A second cleanup session is planned Thursday at 7 p.m. with possible addition of two pickup trucks.

Car Demolished After Hitting Soft Shoulder Pole

Anthony Brouilette drove a 1957 Chevrolet on highway 75 about 244 miles north of Le Mars when a soft shoulder caused loss of control. The car struck a ditch and a telephone pole, totalled the vehicle and broke the pole. Brouilette escaped injury and the car was towed to Le Mars by Stops Brothers.

Engagement of Pal ReBolt and Larry Krause Announced

Dr Ray Sauer died in Chicago as part of an early Le Mars family. Surviving relatives include Dr Albert Sauer of Chicago and Mrs Emma Sauer Dickerman of Yakima Washington.
