Plowing Bees Gather Neighbors to Help Farms
On Wednesday a group met at Leo Rolling farm 44 miles east for a plowing bee with 70 acres plowed in 2 hours. Neighbors aided Milo and Don Cates also near Ennesley to assist ill Mr Carlex and family. At Coughlin home 110 acres were plowed in 2.5 hours with many locals helping, while lunch was provided by Mrs Courhin and others.

Sioux County Pupils Visit Le Mars Mintion
Young Sioux County students toured Le Mars on Thursday visiting Westmar College Le Mars Foundry Central High and several area sites as part of a group outing. Teachers and chaperones accompanied the children including Mrs Hulstein Klein Dykstra and Vermeers. Bud Vandusail then secretary of the Le Mars Chamber of Commerce offered details.

Death Car Crash Kills Young Moville Man on Highway 75
A 23 year old Moville man, Gene Merle Cu, was killed instantly when his speeding car crashed on Highway 75 near the airport. He was employed by Peterson-Otto Co. of Cherokee. A second victim, Albert Rhoads, was injured after stopping to aid and was hit by a continuing vehicle. Witness Reynolds Bruins described a high speed car weaving and warned others before the collision. The incident prompted highway patrolman investigation and a continuation note on page 6.

Tornadoes Hit Wide Area as Rainfall Falls
Storms swept the region with tornadoes and hal storms around Le Maria and Plymouth and Sioux counties. Reckless Driving charge filed in Winforth case
Mrs Katherine Winforth faces a careless driving charge over a April 22 crash near here that injured her and involved Mr and Mrs John DeBoer of Hall.
