Engagement announced for Janice Hirsch and Peter Taylor

Engagement notices report the upcoming marriage of Janice Lee Hirsch daughter of Mr and Mrs Armokt Hirsch of Minneapolis formerly Le Mars to Mr Peter MacIntyre Taylor. The ceremony is set for Sunday June 20 at Mayflower Community church in Minneapolis. Theodore Love and wife returned from the Iowa State Convention of the Fraternal Order of Eagles where Mrs Love served as delegate.

Miller Oil Co Sues Clarence Hoffman For $260.83

Miller Oil Company filed suit against Clarence Hoffman alleging delivery of material totaling $260.83. The plaintiff says Hoffman gave a $50 check on April 10, 1954, drawn on Livestock National Bank Sioux City which bounced for insufficient funds, followed by a $20 check on April 4, 1954 from the same bank also returned for insufficient funds. Plaintiff seeks $260.83 plus 5 percent interest from judgment date and costs.
