Wendell Begg to Preach at Hildreth Memorial Church

Wendell Begg son of Mr and Mrs Charles Begg of Le Mars will preach at Hildreth Memorial church on Sunday June 28. He has just completed his first year at Evangelical Theological Seminary Naperville and will become assistant minister at First Evangelical United Brethren church in Fin Illinois September 1 while continuing seminary studies. Begg is a Drake University graduate in speech and radio and previously worked as radio announcer at KSCJ and at a station in Aberdeen SD. Flood damages Good Will Industries and local churches

Dr John Hanthy reported extensive flood damage at Good Will Industries causing over 20000 dollars in losses. Most items stored on a second floor were ruined, with 400 pairs of shoes and 1000 quarts of produce wasted. Structural damage includes buckled nursery floor and compromised heating motors. The North Iowa Conference urged a special offering by July 12 to aid Good Will, Crowded Ways and Wesley Methodist churches. Sunday offerings set for June 78 local church.
