Le Mars Social Notes Reflect Busy Community Life
Le Mars social pages report church groups meeting at Grace Lutheran and St John’s American Lutheran. Devotions led by Rev H H Meyer and Mrs Marlin Kloth, with social hours, luncheons, and teas. Local families host gatherings at homes, country club dances, Teen Age dances, and open-house visits from Mitchells, Mullineauxs, Johns, Atwoods, and Campbells. Several open houses mark farewells and anniversaries, with Open House events, teas, pinochle and card games, and a summer schedule of social events at Lakeside Motel and the Country Club.
